KAPSOUL, a Japanese DJ/beatmaker based in LA who has been in the music business for over 20 years and is well known among the core heads in Japan for his collaboration with Senninsho on "GaryPayton", is releasing his first album "ASCENT" in 2024. ASCENT", the first album by LA-based Japanese DJ/beatmaker KAPSOUL, is also being released on cassette tape in a completely limited pressing! The album features a number of artists from Japan, including Hermit Palm and B.D., and from the U.S., New York rapper AA Rashid, who is a regular contributor to Westside Gunn's productions, as well as Dudley Perkins ("Declaime"), who is known for his releases on LA underground label Blu and Stones Throw, and Georgia Harris, who has been a regular contributor to the "ASCENT" album. Dudley Perkins ( Declaime), Georgia Anne Muldrow, and Black Hair Imperial, a group led by KAPSOUL himself.The album also includes a jazz instrumental with a jazz flavor, which appeals to not only hip-hop fans but also to a wide range of people, including jazz lovers.
