The long-awaited CD release of a masterful performance filled with deep contemplation that no one has ever achieved! The famous pianist Hiromi Okada played Bach's "Golberg Variations" in a recital in 2008, which was praised by many audiences and introduced by a famous writer in his book as "a once-in-four-years inspiration" and has been passed down as a masterpiece. The concert was recorded by students of Tokyo University of the Arts as part of an industry-university cooperative project, in which selected concerts from Toppan Hall's repertoire were recorded and broadcast in high sound quality on the CS digital radio station Music Bird. The CD is now available. <Hiromi Okada (piano) was born in Toyama Prefecture. Studied under Jinichiro Ando, Yoshiki Moriyasu, and Maria Curcio. While a student at Toho Gakuen School of Music, she won the first prize at the 48th Japan Music Competition. After graduating from Toho Gakuen School of Music at the top of her class, she won the first prize at the 28th Maria Canals International Competition in 1982, the first prize in the piano section at the 2nd Japan International Music Competition in 1983, and the first prize at the 2nd Pretoria International Competition in 1984. In 1985, he gave his debut recital in London to great acclaim.In 1993, she received the 20th Chopin Society of Japan Award for her performance of the complete Chopin Etudes. In May 2011, she performed Beethoven's "Emperor" with the Philharmonia Orchestra in the UK to great acclaim. He is also active in chamber music, performing with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and violinists Atsuko Amma and Shigemichi Kawabatake, among others, to much acclaim. He has frequently appeared at various music festivals, including the La Roque d'Antheron International Piano Festival, the Great Romantics Festival, the Istanbul International Piano Festival, the Steinbach Music Festival, the Tokyo Summer Music Festival, and the Kusatsu Music Festival. In recent years, she has been teaching master classes in Canada and Japan.
