The year 2018 is the 30th anniversary of the birth of "The Chronicles of Rhodes". In commemoration of the 30th anniversary, we are releasing a special Standard Edition of the digitally remastered Blu-rayBOX of the OVA version of "The Chronicles of Rhodes: War on Rhodes Island". The original 35mm negative film materials of all 13 episodes of the OVA version were excavated and digitally new-mastered using negative telecine to deliver high quality images. The production bonus for each edition includes a beautiful postcard featuring an illustration by Yuki Nobuteru, character designer and chief animation director. ★Produced by Madhouse. High-quality work produced by MADHOUSE and its splendid staff. The animation is produced by Madhouse, which produced a succession of major theatrical productions in the 1980s, including "Genma Taisen" and "Kamui no Ken. Character design and chief animation director is Nobuteru Yuki, and sub-character design is by Yutaka Minowa, with Hiroyuki Okiura, Rintaro, and other splendid staff members.Although this product has been produced in the best condition possible from the original preserved version, some parts of the film may not look good due to the age of the VHS production. Also, some parts of the film may have flickering. Please note that the light, color, and other aspects of the film do not conform to the current guidelines for television broadcasts.
