Description:
This is the second live recording of pianist Yuko Ueno's 2017 "The Complete Prokofiev Piano Sonatas Series - Which Piano is Right for Prokofiev" (6 sessions). In this series, she traces the composer's life by performing all nine of his sonatas, which are her specialty, and also touches on the history of classical music by featuring works by related composers. The formation of Prokofiev's sonatas coincides with the completion of the modern piano. Ueno hopes that the audience will be able to experience the differences in tone quality between the different manufacturers in the same hall. For this recital, the second in the series, Fazioli will be used. This is a rare live performance that brings out the original charm of each piece while making the most of the individuality of each instrument.
