After graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, she completed the Meisterklasse at the Munich State Conservatory of Music. Aki Fujii is a pianist who has been active both in Japan and abroad. This CD, her first for FONTEC, is a live recording of an all-Bach program held at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in December 2014. The first half features three solo works, and the second half is an ambitious concerto with the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra. The audience will be guided by Bach's music, which transcends time and space, and his thoughts and fulfillment of "the light that people find beyond prayer" and "the boundless life force of human beings.
