Description:
The winner of the difficult Munich Competition! Violinist Keisuke Okazaki has been dazzling audiences with his rare talent since his young age, and his victory at the 2005 Munich International Competition has cemented his reputation. His brilliantly beautiful sound and composed musicality have been inspiring audiences with unprecedented excitement. The performance with Megumi Ito, also a winner of the Munich Competition, was a happy encounter that only players with a common musical vocabulary could have made possible. Keisuke Okazaki, born in 1979, was recognized by Yehudi Menuhin at the age of 13 and won the first prize at the difficult Munich International Music Competition in 2005. He is the first Japanese to win this prize in 21 years. She also won the first prize at the Wieniawski International Competition and the R. Lipitzer Prize International Competition. Her international performance career began at the age of 19 with her German debut with the Philharmonia Hungarica conducted by Justus Franz, and she has performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Slovak National Kosice Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. She has also performed with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. In particular, his performance with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks conducted by Yakov Kreizberg at the 2005 Munich International Competition Prize-winning concert was highly acclaimed by the audience and was broadcast both in Germany and abroad, creating a great sensation. In Japan, she has performed with major orchestras under such conductors as Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Kenichiro Kobayashi, Naoto Otomo, Kazuhiro Koizumi, and Ken Takaseki to great acclaim. She has also appeared in numerous recitals and chamber music concerts in Japan and abroad, most notably a duo recital with pianist Megumi Ito at the 2006 Kitakyushu International Music Festival, which was met with great acclaim. In 2008, she gave her first unaccompanied recital of works by Bach and contemporary composers, including works by Toshio Hosokawa, and her repertoire is extensive. [Comment courtesy of FONTEC.]
