Jazz musicians active in New York and around the world have gathered! Drummer/composer Tomohiro Mori, who connects Japan and New York, the home of jazz, will release this album on CD and analog vinyl. After returning to the New York jazz scene in 2022, he worked with trumpeter Benny Benack III and other friends to further refine each song, and finally decided to produce an album. In pursuit of "the possibilities of the expressive power of bebop, a style of jazz unique to the olden days," he not only performed but also composed, arranged strings, and produced the album all by himself. The strings were provided by the team of cellist Enko Muraoka, who is active as a studio musician supporting King Gnu and others. Also featured on the album is Keita Ogawa, an internationally acclaimed percussionist who has played with the Grammy Award-winning band Snarky Puppy, as well as with other bands.Prana, the title track of the album, means "energy" or "life force," and the entire album is filled with the vitality of Mori, who has learned a lot in Japan and New York over the past few years.
