The 1998 alternative masterpiece "STRANGE BUT TRUE", which mixes the pop senses of both artists in a sparkling way, has been reissued by JOYFUL NOISE. JAD FAIR originally showed respect for YO LA TENGO, and the recording of this album started when JAD invited the three of them to enter the studio, and the guitar of the YO LA TENGO mark on the shabby feel that is typical of HALF JAPANESE is an important symbol of the 90's in a sense. The guitar of YO LA TENGO's signature is an important point! The lo-fi sound quality of "Texas Man Abducted By Aliens For Outer Space Joy Ride," which has been released as an official soundtrack, and the chest-thumping, heart-wrenching, dark and warm atmosphere are the workmanship that only these two could produce.
