Description:

The original member of "King of Noise", JUKAI-KAIZEI, and also a member of "Nagisa de", one of the best Japanese psychedelic rock bands, Toushi Naoki's solo album from 1998 has been officially reissued! The latest mastering from DAT masters! The long-awaited reissue of Naoiki Toushi's masterpiece "Phenomenal Luminescent Elements", which has been rediscovered from a modern new age perspective in recent years, is now available on Sad Disco with the full cooperation of Org Records and Mr. Toushi! Naoiki Toushi was a member of the legendary psychedelic bands "Hallelujahs" and "Idiot O'Clock" with Shinji Shibayama and others, and was praised by the late Hideo Iketsuzumi, the owner of Modern Music, who presided over P.S.F. Records, one of the most famous underground psychedelic record labels in Japan. Toushi Naoki is one of the residents of Kyoto's "Drugstore," a rock cafe renowned as a sacred place for underground music, and is also a founding member of the famous Emergency Staircase. This is his extremely hard-to-find second solo work, released in 1998 on the Shibayama-led "Org Records" label.Phenomenal Luminescent Elements," featuring three guests, Shibayama, his brother Masaki Toushi, and Kiyoshi Hashimoto, was recorded over a period of eight years, from 1990 to 1998, in contrast to the previous work, Paradise, which was recorded in only three days.As with the recording of the same name, this work pursues the concept of "pre-meditative music" and is imbued with a deep awareness of the spiritual world, and includes the celestial dreamgaze "1999: Bleaching" in which the sentimentality/illusion of Slowdive and the lyrical psychedelia of the Naked Rallies encounter in a dazzling light, Rimarimba and Zazou Bikaye's fantastical folk/tribal new age "Pralaya" (meaning "rest" in Sanskrit), "All the way on the shining surface" that seems to draw a phantom missing link between the aesthetic shadow of early Robert Hay and the disastrous and lonely innocence of Shoichi Miyazawa, and "Nagisa The dream-pop "Mystery of Union," a gentle journey through time with an evergreen, pastoral summer-pop feeling, and the profound minimal ambient "Phenomenon," a 10-minute-long meditative float of sibling kalimba repetitions. The brothers' repetitive kalimba floats for 10 minutes in meditative time on the minimal ambient "Phenomenal Luminescent Elements," one of the most unique works of his career that fully demonstrates his spirituality and experimental spirit!
