Description:

*It will be shipped as soon as it arrives. Please understand this in advance. Hirokazu Tanaka is a Japanese composer best known worldwide for his video game music such as "Metroid" and "Mother" series, as well as music for the animated TV series and the movie "Pokémon". This 2-CD set contains 50 songs carefully selected from the 400 private demo tapes he recorded over a 30-year period from 1981 to 2010, and is the definitive edition following "Hirokazu Tanaka/Lost Tapes" (released in 2021). (Supervised and edited by Yusuke Sato) The demo includes the first demo of "Pool (Summer of 11 years old)" from "Pika Pika Mashai Choo," a candidate theme song composed before the Pokemon TV anime broadcast, and prototype demos of NHK Minna Noata's "Fanta Grandpa," "Tonosama Toad," and many other game music pieces. In addition, it is full of rare sound sources, such as those from the period when he improvised and layered hand-played music. "A series of surprises and discoveries. Outtakes of Pokemon theme songs that everyone knows, but no one knew. These prototype demos and precious private sound sources from each period are not only of historical value, but also allow us to witness the moment when musical possibilities and fresh ideas are born. A record of the hidden experiments of a composer who continues to be edgy and who has earned respect from around the world." -Yusuke Sato [Hirokazu Tanaka] 1980 Joined Nintendo. He worked on music, sound effects, and programming for many popular games, including "Donkey Kong" and "Mario Brothers" for the arcades, "Metroid", "Palutena's Mirror", "Dr. Mario", and "Mother" for the NES, and "Mother 2" for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After leaving the company, he worked as "Hirokazu Tanaka" and created music for many TV animation and movie "Pokémon". *Full track commentary by Hirokazu Tanaka *Liner notes by Yusuke Sato
