COFFINS, the Tokyo-based heavyweight who embodies the essence of doom/death metal and is literally worshipped by metalheads on a global scale, has finally completed an album! In a career spanning over 20 years, COFFINS has made a name for themselves in the worldwide death metal scene. After moving to the prestigious Relapse, they have released two 4th albums, "The Fleshland" (2013) and "Beyond The Circular Demise" (2019). In 2024, they will tour Japan with MORTIFERUM (US) at the beginning of the new year, and in March, GATECREEPER will play in Japan for the first time. In March, GATECREEPER will participate in their first live show in Japan as a special guest, and in May, they will perform at the world's leading metal festival "MARYLAND DEATHFEST" (MD, USA). This is their first album in four and a half years.The strong riff work and low, writhing vocals are, of course, still there. While maintaining the doom/death metal line, the title track and other slow and groovy developments in the middle part of the album, which seem to have swallowed everything from drone to JPHC, give the listener a sense of a new innovation.
