Japanese death metal heroes DEFILED's seventh full-length album is now complete and includes a bonus track on the Japanese edition! Formed in Tokyo in 1992 during the developmental period of death metal, DEFILED has been active for over 30 years and is one of the leading bands in the genre. They have been playing in Japan and abroad for more than 30 years, and have been known for their international activities, including a European tour with MAYHEM and many other shows and tours. In 2002, they signed a worldwide contract with the prestigious French label Season of Mist, and have released six studio albums to date. So far, the band has released six studio albums. Thrash to Death', while blending dissonance, progressive compositions, and complex and tricky rhythmic structures. The band's music is unique in the world.This album was recorded and mixed by Kenji Kikuchi, a veteran engineer at Studio Nest (CASBAH, GENOA, INTENSTINE BAALISM, etc.), who recorded and mixed the first demo tape, in order to return to the band's roots. The lyrics are a blend of social elements influenced by the members' punk and thrash roots, as well as the classic science fiction memes of surveillance and dystopia. The bewitching worldview is as strait between sanity and madness as the band's music. The Japanese version of the album includes an additional bonus track from a live performance in the Netherlands during the band's 2020 European tour.
