Description:
The saxophonist who played saxophone for Dai Miyamoto, the main character in the animated film "BLUE GINAT," is the hottest saxophonist in the current jazz scene in Japan. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music, he worked in New York City, where he was a member of the band "J-Squad" with Takuya Kuroda and others. After returning to Japan, he attracted much attention as the saxophonist in charge of Dai Miyamoto, the main character in the animated film "BLUE GIANT," which will be released in 2023. For his major label debut album (his third album in total), he recorded a trio of saxophone, keyboards, and drums, with Bigyuki as co-producer. All of the songs on this album are original compositions written for this project, and the total sound created by the chemical reaction with BIGYUKI is also noteworthy. Of course, the saxophone, which has grown remarkably since its participation in "BLUE GIANT," also has a lot of charm. Playing a part of the trio with Baba and Bigyuki is JK Kim, a Korean drummer based in New York like Bigyuki. Also, depending on the song, ermhoi, Yusuke Sase, and Satoshi Koganegawa participate as guests.
