Astrad Gilberto will celebrate the one-year anniversary of her death on June 5, and release a compilation album of her most popular songs! In commemoration of the one-year anniversary of her death, we are releasing "My Favourite Astrud Gilberto", a compilation album featuring all of her most popular songs. The 15th and 16th tracks are her own songs from "Golden Japanese Album", which she recorded for Japan in 1969, as she was interested in Japanese culture at the time. The album also includes "Ipanema no Musume (Japanese version)" and "Isoshigi (Japanese version)" which she sang in Japanese. Born in Brazil, Astrud Gilberto married João Gilberto, the "father of bossa nova" who supported the creation of bossa nova, and made his singing debut in 1963 with "Gets/Gilberto," becoming a star of bossa nova.He continued to release albums one after another, creating a worldwide Bossa Nova whirlwind.
