One of the most streamed Japanese classical artists, composer/pianist Akira Kosemura has garnered praise from influential media around the world, including Pitchfork, which said, "His never-ending melodies are endlessly different from those of other musicians. He is a rare artist who has been active not only in his own works, but also in the music for many famous films, dramas, games, and commercials in Japan and abroad, including "Morning Comes" (directed by Naomi Kawase), an official selection at the Cannes International Film Festival, and the popular American TV drama "Love Is". He has been enthusiastically supported by eminent artists such as Devendra Banhart, Giles Peterson, and M83. 2022 also saw the release of an EP on Decca Records and music for the films "From Lageri with Love" and "The Cherry Blossom Wind Blooms". This is his long-awaited major debut album to be released on the prestigious Decca Records. Based on the concept of Japan's four seasons, the album contains a total of 12 songs, each season depicted by three solo piano pieces.Kosemura, who continues to be active on the world stage, has once again taken a fresh look at his own identity, weaving simple and pure melodies as if to depict his original landscape.
