Master pianist and conductor Ashkenazy will turn 82 in July 2019. As one of Decca's leading artists, he has made numerous recordings, and his collections of piano works by Chopin and Rachmaninoff continue to be long sellers. This SA-CD release of Rachmaninoff's complete piano concertos, recorded under the direction of the recently deceased pianist and conductor Andre Previn, includes four concertos coupled with the "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," as well as the "Symphonic Dances" performed by the piano duo with Previn in the margin. The album also includes "Symphonic Dances" performed by the piano duo with Previn in the margin.
