After working as a popular child actress, she became known for her appearances in TV dramas and movies as an actress, and established her image as an ennui individualist in the culture of the mid-1980s with her decadent whispering voice and eccentric presence. 1987), newly remastered and reissued on CD with one bonus track. Producer, composer, and arranger Seiji Toda, who has worked with REAL FISH, SHI-SHONEN, and later FAIRCHILD, produced the sound. The album is a masterpiece of digital POPS, a perfect fusion of techno/new wave sound with programming that makes heavy use of synths & samplers and Yukako Hayase's unique whispering voice." Under the name "Sengoku Hanadone," Yukako Hayase herself wrote four lyrics and composed one song on the album. Yukako Hayase also plays percussion on this album.The album version of "Tsubakihime no Natsu" (Polyester Version) (09) was arranged by Seiji Toda, while "Tsubakihime no Natsu" (Single Version) (11), the A-side song of the single and used as Shiseido's summer campaign commercial song, was arranged by Akira Nishidaira. The B-side of the same single, "Taiyo to Crescent" (12), was added as a bonus. Grand Mother" (04) is a cover of Rossana Casale's original title "DEJA VU. Polyester and Night" (10), written and composed by Sengoku Kadone (Yukako Hayase), is a Balearic new wave dance track. The album also includes "To Be in Your Room Before Evening" (06), an Afro/ethno-pop song with minimal synths. Produced by Seiji Toda, the album features musicians who have worked together in REAL FISH, SHI-SHONEN, and Yapoos, including Tsuguto Tsukada (g), Nobuo Nakahara (b), Shinya Ishitsubo (ds), Seiichi Teratani (ds), Hiroyasu Yaguchi (sax), and Mari Fukuhara (key).Joining them as manipulators are Joji Fujii and Masaki Sekijima, both from Yoroshita Music, which manages Ryuichi Sakamoto and other artists, and both of whom have worked as assistants for YMO. The songwriters include Seiji Toda, CECILE (Yukako Hayase), Minoru Komorita (*), Ayuko Ishikawa, Haruomi Hosono, Makoto Yano, Yukinojo Mori, Hiro Nagasawa, Tsugito Tsukada, and others.
