Description:

Dirty Projectors, an experimental band led by Dave Longstreth, releases their first new album in almost four years! The album also features the hot Solange, Tyondai Braxton formerly of Battles, Dawn Richard aka DAWN, a female R&B singer, and Mauro Refosco of Atoms for Peace! The Dirty Projectors, a band from Brooklyn, NY, released their 8th album in 4 years! In recent years, frontman David Longstreth has written and arranged songs for artists such as Joanna Newsom, and also wrote and arranged for Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney's "Four Five Seconds," which debuted at #1 on the singles charts in eight countries after its release in 2016. He also participated as a co-writer on "Four Five Seconds" by Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney, which was released in 2016 and reached number one on the singles chart in eight countries. Then suddenly he released a new song and finally restarted his career. This self-titled album, which contains nine songs, was written and produced by Dave himself. The album features percussion by popular American singer Solange, Tyondai Braxton (formerly of Battles), female R&B singer Dawn Richard (aka DAWN), and Mauro Refosco of Atoms for Peace. The theme of "Little Bubble," released as a preceding single, is love and loss. It was inspired by the heartbreak and other losses experienced since the release of the previous album. The Dirty Projectors have already been awarded Best New Music by Pitchfork for their melancholy and beautiful melodies, and their sound, which is different from their previous base, has been attracting attention around the world. The Dirty Projectors have regained their enthusiasm for music through participation in and production of various songs, and have discovered a new Dirty Projectors sound, an indie rock, R&B, electronic, genre-crossing masterpiece!Kaori Mizuta delivers her songs to all parts of Japan with her outstanding singing ability and nimble footwork! For this album, Kaori Mizuta has chosen composer Hiroshi Tokuhisa, who has provided her with his first song for the album, to sing a song that is her specialty. The album includes "Showa mo far away now," a series of three songs expressing the sad feelings of a woman who is still waiting for the man who left her, and "Tasogare no eki," a folk touch piece depicting the feelings of a woman who is nostalgically reminiscing about the romantic patterns of her youthful days.
