Suzume Satono is the runner-up grand prize winner of the 2023 Crown Newcomer Audition. She is a big newcomer with a clear mid-high tone voice, emotional verses, and a bright, pastoral character. Her debut song is "Baka Shukuba" (Silly Bar). The title may seem surprising at first glance, but the song is a genuine enka (traditional Japanese ballad). The song describes the singer as an "idiot" who, because of his love for his partner, backs away even though he really likes her. The coupling song "Kita Fuyuki" is a three-part melancholy enka. The song is about a heartbroken journey in search of the shadow of a lost love. The song is about a woman who laments that it is too late for everything. (C)RS
