Rinan Saeki Maki's first solo album! A collection of modern and contemporary works from Japan and France! After studying under Yohko Takano and moving to France at the age of 15, female pianist Maki Rinan Saeki studied at several music conservatories, including the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. Based in Paris, she has been invited to perform as a soloist at many of the world's most prestigious music festivals, including La Roque d'Anthéron International Music Festival, La Folle Journee de Nantes, and the Paris Chopin Festival. With a repertoire ranging from Bach to Romantic, French, and contemporary music, she is working to bring the many encounters she has had and the connections she has made across borders and cultures to a wider audience through her own music. In this, her first solo album, she depicts 12 works by 6 composers from France and Japan, symbolizing her own two rich cultures, born in Japan and raised in France, expressed with her personality, sensibility, and worldview. It is as if color is born in a space of solitude and nothingness, spreading out and eventually becoming light and moving toward hope.It also expresses her strong desire to deliver to the future with her own music the love, hope, and light that music has given her in the past.
