The first volume couples the first Sonatas No. 1 to No. 6 with No. 7, the keyboard goddess who accomplished the feat of the "Bach Odyssey," a series of performances of Bach's major keyboard works in cities around the world, which began in 2016 and concluded with a performance at Kioi Hall in May 2022. Angela Hewitt. Hewitt, who has established an international reputation through numerous recording projects, including the piano works of J.S. Bach and the complete piano sonatas of Beethoven, takes a new step forward with a recording of the complete Mozart piano sonatas. The first volume couples the "Durnitz Sonatas" (Nos. 1-6), the earliest sonatas believed to have been composed together as one set, with Sonata No. 7, which is said to have been composed for Rosa, the daughter of Mannheim musician Christian Kannabich. These early sonatas are rarely featured in concerts, but they are well-known for their use of repetitive progressions, which Mozart used frequently throughout his life. The sonatas are not often featured in concerts, but they are important works that show glimpses of Mozart's later works, including the repetitive progressions he frequently used throughout his life.
