Toyohiko Sato is a leading luthier and Japan's proud world-class master of the lute, who has been playing the boundaries of lute music with his original lute "Greif" and released his own collection "Yugen" (Nostalgia 1503) in 2016. The ensemble of Toyohiko Sato, his favorite pupil Toru Sakurada, and his daughter Miki Sato will unravel the charm of lute music in Netherland from the late 16th century, when the printing industry developed along with rapid economic growth and lute music was actively published. A total of six treble lutes, alto lutes, and bass lutes are combined to perform solo pieces, duets, and trios on lutes of different sizes, expanding the lute repertoire and creating a rich variety of sounds.
