Toyohiko Sato's new recording! A collection of Toyohiko Sato's works on the theme of "Yugen"! Toyohiko Sato is one of the world's leading lutenists and the pride of Japan. His new recording is a collection of his own works based on Japanese ancient songs, Noh plays, warabeuta, lullabies, and other themes, and mainly Western texts, such as Shakespeare's "Shakespearean" texts. The ensemble is made up of Chiyomi Yamada, a specialist in ancient vocal music who has been a core member of the ensemble "Alba Musica Kyou," which Toyohiko Sato leads, and Walter van Hauwe, a world-famous recorder player who has performed with "Little Consort" and other groups. With four different combinations of lute solo, song and lute, recorder and lute, and song, recorder, and lute, the ensemble will express a mixture of East and West under the theme of "yugen".
