The competition is known worldwide for its highest level of difficulty, and in 2012, Park Kyuhi won the competition, gaining a foothold in the international scene. Pedro Aguiar was born in 1990 in Brazil. After studying music at a local university, he studied in the United States, Paris, and Munich. He was the first Brazilian to win the Alhambra International Guitar Competition, and this album, commemorating his victory, actively introduces the "Brazilian music" of his homeland. The works are based on a wide variety of dances, folk songs, and sometimes jazz, and are performed with great skill and expressiveness. Naxos Japan
