Cerebrière (1938-) is a composer-conductor from Uruguay. This is the third collection of his own compositions. The first symphony on this album was written when he was 18 years old. It offers a glimpse of the ambitious expression of his time leading a youth orchestra in his native Uruguay. According to his own words, "Although there are changes in compositional style between the 1960s and 1970s, the messages contained in the works are the same," and indeed, listening to the works written in different periods side by side, one can hear a sentimental heart, a rich atmospheric fragrance, and passionate rhythms lying at the root of these works.
