＜Johann Strauss II 200th Birthday Commemorative Project Ackermann's last operetta recording and the only stereo recording of this masterpiece by authentic singers is finally available on SACD! The master tapes were newly converted to 192kHz/24bit and reissued for this release. New commentary and bilingual lyrics are included. The commentary by Kyoichi Kuroda and some of the photos from the first domestic release are also reissued. Also, Ackermann's "discography" edited by Kozo Asazato is included. Otto Ackermann (1909-60) recorded a series of operettas for the old EMI label, the last of which was the famous "Die Fledermaus" recorded in 1959, and now it is finally available on SACD! This is the first time in less than 60 years that this treasured recording has not been reissued on CD in Japan since its initial release in 1967, and is being released on the occasion of the "200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss II" in 2025. The CD is one of the finest recordings of "Die Fledermaus" by Ackermann, praised by W. Legg, with a splendid cast of Viennese singers of yesteryear. The commentary by Kyoichi Kuroda on Ackermann and some of the photographs from the first domestic release are also reprinted in this edition. In addition, a discography edited by Kozo Asazato is included.The master was digitized at 192kHz/24bit from the original analog master tapes in the original country for this release, and mastered separately for the SACD and CD layers. New commentary and bilingual lyrics are included. This is a permanent preservation disc. (1/3)
