Previously unreleased live recording by Celibidacke! The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to announce the release of the previously unreleased live recording of Serge Celibidacke's "Sibelius" and the dynamic "Firebird" with its unique rhythmic expression and sharply amplified tempi, Celibidacke was appointed Principal Conductor in June 1979 and held this position for 17 years. He was an integral part of building the orchestra that has made the Munich Philharmonic the world-famous orchestra it is today. And today the Munich Philharmonic is an internationally acclaimed orchestra. For this release, the original analog master tapes from the Munich Philharmonic and the Bavarian Radio collection were converted to 24-bit digital (Stravinsky), converted to 24-bit from the digital master tapes (Sibelius), remastered at 24-bit/96kHz, and then The final mastering was done by Christoph Stickel, an engineer who has recently mastered under the supervision of ECM and has worked on various works by Keith Jarrett. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra was also present to ensure the realism of the sound at the venue. The digital and streaming version, which will be released simultaneously, will be reproduced as Dolby Atmos (spatial audio) by msm-studio in Munich after algorithm analysis based on acoustic measurements at each venue.Although Celibidacke believed that the music was effective only at the concert, and with few exceptions, no recordings were made, it is possible to reproduce the balance between the instruments that Celibidacke paid particular attention to during the performance, and the tension of the live performance has been restored.
