A dish of milk, a nap, a place to hide your bones, and time with your loved ones. A doggie animation overflowing with love and art! This work won the Grand Prix in the Feature Animation Division at the Tokyo Animation Awards Festival (TAAF) 2020, as well as the Governor of Tokyo Award. It also won the Excellence Award in the Animation Division of the 24th Japan Media Arts Festival. The film is directed by Ron Dience, the producer of "Long Way North: The Top of the Earth," and Anka Damian, who has won the highest award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the pinnacle of the animation world, and the world's top animators. The climax of the film, a fusion of 2D and 3D depiction from Marona's point of view, is particularly breathtaking, and is a scene that should be etched in the history of visual expression. In addition to these visual aspects, the film's high level of narrative is another of its charms.The characters, with their highly distinctive designs and transformative movements, each have a human touch and certainly live on in the work. Through her interactions with them, Marona grows up and begins to reflect on what is most important to her. Also not to be missed in the Japanese dubbed version is the voice of Marona, voiced by Non, who is not only an actress but also active in a wide range of fields, and the voice of Manole, Marona's owner, voiced by Tomoki Ono, a voice actor who has made his name in many popular works including the role of Daiga Hijin in "Kuroko no Basketball. This is a major foreign animation film that has been attracting attention for its excellent hits such as "Rashoguro Senki: The Future I Choose" and "Wolf Walker". Winner of the 24th Japan Media Arts Festival, Animation Division, Excellence Award & Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2020 Grand Prix/Governor of Tokyo Award! The Japanese dubbed version features actress and creative director Aachisu Non ("In a Corner of the World") and popular voice actor Tomoki Ono ("Kuroko's Basketball").
