As Barenboim's treasured son, he served as Kapellmeister and Assistant Music Director of the Berlin State Opera from 2003 to 2008. Luca Pisaroni has a model-like figure, Annette Fritsche, a beautiful soprano who is attracting attention for her dramatic voice and expressiveness, Adam Placzewska from Prague, who is active mainly at the Vienna State Opera, Martina Jankova, a soprano who is also active in old music based at the Zurich Opera. Margarita Grishkova, who sang the same role at the Vienna State Opera in Japan in 2012 to great acclaim. Sven-Erik Bechtlov's meticulously detailed direction and orthodox yet sophisticated stage sets give a fresh impression.
