He has been active in the crossover/fusion scene since its inception and rise, and his influence on the later smooth jazz scene has been enormous. Pianist/keyboardist Bob James will turn 80 in 2019. As the culmination of his achievements, Tower Records has produced the ultimate compilation of his music, planned and selected by Tower Records. The compilation features 28 of his best songs from his early albums under his own name, as well as albums under the joint names of David Sanborn and Kirk Waylam, and from his Warner years, including "Urban Flamingo" (2006), plus the best songs from his single releases. The album contains 28 tracks in total, including his own albums, as well as works co-written with David Sanborn and Kirk Waylam. The latest mastering. In addition, a special comment from Bob James himself is included for this release.
