Description:

JB's legendary 1967 unreleased live performance that sent Paris into a frenzy! Out of Sight", "Cold Sweat", and a funk medley! Featuring Maceo Parker (sax) and Clyde Stubblefield (drums), this is a previously unreleased album from Eternal Grooves' "ROCK OFF" series! Godfather of Soul, Mr. Dynamite! He led the Famous Flames, which he formed with Bobby Byrd, whom he met while in prison, and overcame the hardships of the 50's. He built a show-stopping stage with strong backing members such as Maceo Parker (sax) and Clyde Stubblefield (drums). The overwhelming presence of young JB! Funky medley! The show opened with an instrumental of "Sidewinder" featuring Pee Wee Ellis (a man who mixes funk and jazz) on saxophone, and immediately after the announcement calling for JB, he appeared on stage at the top of his game and suddenly started to play the slow ballad "I Wanna Be Around", which was a thought provoking Tskami. The ballad "I Wanna Be Around" was the first song to be performed. After warming up the audience with "Kansas City," the latest single at the time, which had been reworked into a dance tune, the audience was treated to "Out of Sight," a song with a pleasant beat produced by the late Clyde Stubblefield, a legendary funk drummer. The highlight of the show was the 14-minute funk tune "Papa's New Bag," which was followed by the signature tune "Cold Sweat," also 10 minutes long. The funky medley was a raging funk medley, with Maceo Parker's saxophone playing at the top of his game. From "I Feel Good" to "Please, Please, Please, Please," JB's classic mantle show performance comes to mind. After this, all the members of the Famous Flames left the band in 1970, and JB's, including Bootsy Collins (Bass), led the band.Enjoy this rare November 1967 Paris show from James Brown's first golden era with the Famous Flames. This is from Eternal Grooves' "ROCK OFF" series.
