Eva-Maria Houben (1955-) is a German composer, organist, pianist, and musicologist. She is a member of the Wandelweiser school of music. Houben's compositions have been performed by herself and many other musicians and released on CD, LP, and digital formats by Edition Wandelweiser and other labels in many countries. Composer Takahiro Kuroda (1989-) will hold a concert titled "Square of Thoughts Vol. 2: Eva-Maria Houben and horn + α" on May 15, 2023 at Ftarri space in Tokyo. Focusing on works for horn, horn players Kei Kondo (1989-) and Kuroda (upright piano) performed four of Houben's compositions. From the live recording of the concert, this CD includes one piece by the duo, "echo fantasy II," which is just under 37 minutes long. (C)RS
