This is the third album by up-and-coming kora player Dauda Jobarteh, who hails from the West African country of Gambia and is currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His repertoire consists mainly of original compositions based on his experiences in Denmark, where he currently lives, and in Gambia, where he spent his youth, as well as traditional Griot songs. In addition, the most appealing aspect of this album is the unique selection of songs that encompass a variety of musical genres.
