Description:

Quartet Integra, which has made remarkable strides in Japan and abroad in its 10 years of existence, makes its world debut on the high-fidelity label Yarlung! In addition to winning prizes at major international competitions such as the Munich ARD, Wigmore Hall, and Bartok, Quartet Integra has been highly acclaimed in recent years for its performances in Japan and for the high precision and vitality of its recordings released one after another on the Live Notes label. The Quartet Integra studied at the Colburn School in Los Angeles under Martin Bieber and Clive Greensmith (both former members of the Tokyo Quartet), and at the end of their three-year study period, they left us a wonderful recording as their graduation project. The third piece is a new work by Los Angeles-based composer Lefkowitz, based on an aria from Monteverdi's opera "The Crowning of Poppea. The third piece is a new work by Los Angeles-based composer Lefkowitz, based on an aria from Monteverdi's opera "The Crowning of Poppea. The title "Green Mountains, Now Black" refers to the wildfires that ravaged the Los Angeles area in 2024, and the song begins as a lament, but eventually develops lyrically and ends in a purifying manner. In addition to the use of Frank Sinatra's favorite microphone, an AKG C24, and a vacuum tube microphone amp designed by the company, the sound of the album, which was completed by keeping the cables as short as possible and using long takes without editing as much as possible, is very realistic. The sound of the album, which was completed using long takes with as few cables as possible and with as little editing as possible, is very realistic. The reality of the album will be even more apparent when listened to with audio equipment and headphones with thorough phase control. According to the label, the Torii gate was chosen for the jacket as a symbol of the entrance from everyday life to the transcendent world. We are happy to announce the global release of our album on Yarlung Records! We would like to thank our mentor Martin Beaver for giving us the opportunity to work with Yarlung Records in the creation of the album.I think the program is pretty cool with Beethoven's last quartet, Ligeti No. 2, and David S. Lefkowitz! I hope many people will listen to it. --Quartet Integra Naxos Japan
