After winning numerous national competitions, he studied in the U.S., earning bachelor's and master's degrees from the Juilliard School and a doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music, where he made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1993. In parallel, he also studied organ and served as organist and director of music at churches in the New York and New Jersey area for over 20 years.
