Saaya Hashino, who has a diverse repertoire as a concert pianist, organist, and harpsichordist, performs J.S. Bach's organ works on this disc. Her selections include the Chorale Preludes from "18 Leipzig Chorales in Various Techniques," as well as other masterpieces. This recording uses an organ with 18 stops built by German organ builder Lukas Fischer, which has a soft tone. Saaya Hashino is a keyboardist from Sapporo, Japan, who studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and furthered her studies at the Conservatoire de Genève. She is currently the organist at Saint-Germain Church in Geneva, and has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, and has released the album "gentle stream" with trumpet player Osamu Kamishiro.
