The label's sound recordings all offer a compelling and remarkable program, and their unique naturalistic recordings, which convey the raw direct sound with just the right amount of reverberation, promise an excellent aural experience. The medieval album has a fascinating narrative selection, while the Renaissance recording, such as this one, is full of serene a capella and appropriate instrumental accompaniments, and the musicological research is vividly combined with on-the-spot performance effects. The latest album is a collection of "Lamentations" by Morales, one of the most revered composers of the 16th century in their native Spain. Morales showed his talent for polyphonic music, the height of the art of counterpoint, and left a variety of church music at the court of Emperor Carl V (King Carlos I of Spain), who was well versed in the various arts.The lyrics were taken from "Lamentations" of the Old Testament, a poem of sorrow by the prophet Jeremiah, who lamented the destruction of Jerusalem in defiance of God, and the music of this disc was chanted during the period of temperance before Easter. Valencia, the birthplace of the gamba, is said to be the birthplace of this ensemble, and the layering of the mysterious gut string sounds of their unique reproduction model, combined with the ethereal nature of the church songs reproduced by the madrigale formation with one person in each part, vividly brings the raw sorrow of the musical world 500 years ago back to life in the "present".
