Description:
Hindemith composed a series of "chamber music" in the 1920s. Although the names of these pieces may be unfamiliar, they are in fact "concertos with solo instruments," with the exception of No. 1, which was written in the form of an "ensemble concerto. Although the style is radical, Hindemith composed these pieces in the image of Baroque-era royalty and aristocrats playing in their palaces, and while each piece has a simple form, it also has a glamorous quality that allows the soloist's skill to be fully displayed. The "Chamber Music" complete works series is a series of skillful performances by young players under the direction of Eschenbach, and the first collection includes Nos. 1 to 3 and the "Small Chamber Music" with a small orchestra. Not only the soloists, but also the other members of the ensemble boast superb technique and musicality, and their individual personalities stand out in a superb ensemble performance. Naxos Japan
