Robert Orridge is a British musicologist and researcher of early 20th century French music who is particularly noted for his completion of compilations and reconstructions of previously unexcavated Debussy works. This album is the result of his latest research, and includes piano arrangements of Debussy's dramatic music, such as "King Lear" and "Palace of Silence," as well as a fragment of the first draft of "The Maiden with Flaxen Hair" (in B-flat major!), which is originally performed in the soft G-flat major. ), and a fragment of the first draft of "The Maiden with Flaxen Hair" (in B-flat major!), which was originally written to sound softly in G-flat major. Some of the pieces have already been released, but this album is a world premiere recording of almost all of them, including the pieces newly modified by Orridge and "The Night of the House of Usher," to which Horvat himself added a cadenza. The booklet includes a commentary by Auridge himself. In the booklet, Orridge himself writes a commentary (in English only) and talks passionately about the formation of the album. Naxos Japan
