Description:
Fuse Ondo Trio's long-awaited second album. A picture scroll of sound is drawn by each member playing what they hear at the time, on the theme of landscapes and religious ideas. Like their previous album "Isolated" (released on March 3, 2024), all of the songs on "Thus Have I Heard" are Fuse's original compositions, but each song is more thematically composed than the previous album, inspired by landscapes and religious ideas. The songs are more thematically composed than on the previous album, and there is a greater awareness of the continuity of the songs throughout the album. The phrase "Thus Have I Heard" is an English translation of the phrase "如是我聞", which is placed at the beginning of a Chinese translation of a Buddhist scripture, and means "I heard it this way". Every work of art is an expression of the world as seen by its creator. That is why the phrase "what I heard at the time" is of utmost importance. The trio has been performing together continuously since the end of 2020, and in recent years they have had many opportunities to perform not only as a trio but also in compositions with various fronts.The same members also formed the rhythm section of Kaito Nakamura's second album, "Invisible Diary" (released on 2025/3). The CD also includes a 20-page booklet with the album title "Thus Have I Heard" and an essay on the thoughts behind each song, along with photos of the scenery taken by Fuse himself.
