Scandinavian HR/HM pioneers ALIEN, who will celebrate their 40th anniversary next year, release their 8th new album, which follows the world view of their classic 1st album! ALIEN, a representative of Scandinavian melodic HR/HM that has been receiving great support in Europe and Japan since its formation in 1986, is releasing its 8th album in 5 years, just before its 40th anniversary! Formed by the original members Tony Borg (g) and Jim Jidhead (vo), the band released their debut album "Alien" in 1988, which included the song "Only One Woman," a cover of The Marbles, as a single, The band quickly succeeded in solidifying its position in the music industry. The band released four more albums, but it was not until 2010 that the original members, Tony, Jim, and Ken Sandin (b), Jimmy Wandroff (key), and Toby Tallack (dr), returned to the band.Since then, they have released three albums, and now, for the first time since 2020, they are releasing a new album in five years! The album, titled "When Yesterday Comes Around", was produced by Tony, Jim, and Toby, and features a thought-provoking title, artwork that echoes the world of their debut album, and songs written mainly by Tony and Jim. The songs, written mainly by Tony and Jim, are a riot of lyrical melodies and melancholy melodies that will bring tears to the eyes of fans of the band's early days. Jim's vocals are reminiscent of Steve Perry, Joey Tempest, and Glenn Hughes, and Tony's melodic guitar, which is heavily influenced by Ritchie Blackmore, is still going strong! Bonus track for the Japanese version!
