Debut of a super band fronted by John Bush (ARMORED SAINT) and featuring some of the fiercest names in the US metal scene! The band features John Bush (ARMORED SAINT, ex-ANTHRAX), Mike Orlando (ex-ADRENALINE MOB, NOTURNALL), Phil Demmel (KERRY KING, ex-MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE), Jack Gibson ( EXODUS), Jason Bitner (SHADOWS FALL, ex-OVERKILL)... Five members from bands that have played a central role in American metal from the 80's to the present have come together to form a new super band! Here they release their debut album! CATEGORY 7 is not a one-time project, but a band that will continue to grow. Guitarist Phil Demel said, "We've written some great songs and they will continue to do so. We are all very proud of the completion of this album. We are looking forward to the next album in the future," he said about the future.Mike Orlando, the main songwriter and the other guitarist, says that the band's songwriting is also infused with input from the bands the members were (and are) involved with, "The songwriting in this band contains many elements that we have all explored in other bands. The first song, "In Stitches," in particular, is an ultra-metal number that shows the direction of the band! The band began when Phil and Orlando met and hit it off, then Jack and Jason joined. And finally, John Bush, the last of the four members, wanted to be a part of the band and had no other choice. Thus, the final piece was filled and the recording was done primarily at Mike Orlando's recording studio, where he produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered the album. He says, "We all had the same vision and everything was ready to go, so there were no problems.And the result is a sound that will blow everyone away! The album is a powerful blend of power, thrash, and technical metal, with metal songs that are right in the middle of headbanging, moshing, and sing-alongs!
