Six titles from Radiohead’s popular catalog—Japanese domestic and Japan-spec CD editions—will be released all at once on Friday, September 4, as reissued editions with completely redesigned obi strips. For these reissues, the CDs are being released with a fresh new look based on the design of the vinyl editions with obi strips—which generated significant buzz when they were released to commemorate Thom Yorke’s 2024 visit to Japan. Radiohead’s classic albums are being reborn with this new packaging. The six albums being released as reissues are *Pablo Honey*, *The Bends*, *Kid A*, *Amnesiac*, *Hail to the Thief*, and *A Moon-Shaped Pool*. Marking the starting point of their illustrious career and still enjoying immense popularity today —the 1993 debut album that features the classic track “Creep”! Formed in Oxford, England, by five students as the band On a Friday, they signed with Parlophone (a subsidiary of EMI) and changed their name to Radiohead. This album, *Pablo Honey*, was their debut, released in February 1993. It was produced by Paul Coldley and Sean Slade, known for their work with Dinosaur Jr. and the Pixies. The fusion of the style of U.S. alternative rock, the post-punk experimental spirit of bands like Magazine and Joy Division, and the lyricism and British humor of The Smiths is what characterized early Radiohead; this album offers a “punk” feel not found in their other works. Featuring 12 tracks, including the classic “Creep”—the starting point of their illustrious career and a song that remains immensely popular to this day.
