Description:
From krautrock, post-punk and no-wave such as NEU!, Can, This Heat, DNA and P.I.L. to post-rock, mass rock and experimental rock from Battles, Dawn Of Midi, ! and Gang Gang Dance, to post-rock, mass rock, and experimental rock from Japan's Goat, Nisenen Mondai, and Spatial Gendai, as well as minimal music, industrial techno, avant-garde jazz, and more, Oavette, an instrumental post-rock band from Aichi, Japan, formed in 2012, will release their debut EP "Oavette" in 2019. The band's first album is a re-recorded, remastered compilation of all previously released songs from their debut EP "Oavette" and their 2021 split EP "Oavette 2".It is a primitive folk music of the digital age, constructed with intricate tribal drums, heavy bass pounding through the space between the blows, and two guitars that intertwine polyrhythmic loops of stoically sharp and mechanical melodies to create a whirlpool of euphoria. This is primitive folk music of the digital age and human-powered dance music. The calculated and controlled repetition and the simple and unobtrusive looped sound are interchanged by the free and technical performance of each instrument, a thrilling exchange that is constantly repeated with suppression and collision in the midst of precise and elaborate movements. Like an endless loading screen, all the songs are connected without interruption, and like the "O" in Oavette, the circular, endless loops create an immersive experience that never ends. The first track of the album is a beginning, an end, and a new beginning. The album is the first full-length album to be released after 10 years of the band's formation, and is an experience of an overwhelming infinite groove that continues to spin and expand in a circle with quiet heat.Mastered by Shellac member and recording engineer Bob Weston (Chicago Mastering Service) and recorded/mixed by Naohiro Asakura (nostos). The sound sources on the vinyl are different from those on the digital distribution, etc., and the Bob Weston mastered sound sources are only available on the physical version of the vinyl.
