Listening to Lehar's "Gold and Silver" by Barbirolli and the Halle Orchestra, which has been restored by Opus Records' outstanding and incomparable restoration with an emphasis on musicality, the strings sing with a feeling of fluidity that is nothing short of enchantment itself. I was surprised by the lively and lively waltz rhythms that swung through my body as I listened to the performance, which was recorded in the 1950s, when the Halle Orchestra was on the upswing of its remarkable development, and in the prime of Barbirolli's career.
