Description:

The 99th CD in the Opus collection is Mengelberg's "Adagietto," a performance that transcends 80 years and appeals to the listener's heart. I am honestly happy. -I have been waiting for a CD reissue from the Opus collection for a long time, and now it has finally become a reality. I am honestly happy because it would be impossible to reproduce a 26-year-old SP with better sound than this. The CD of Brahms No. 3 was recorded in 1932 by Koichi Nomura in his "Listening to Masterpieces," and was ignored by him, saying that it was an old recording, and I myself thought it was unnecessary with Walter. However, the reissued CD from the Opus storehouse has completely overturned such prejudices.Of the four pieces on this CD, Brahms has the best balance of instruments, the best sound quality, and the least distortion. It is as if the SP's lack of information was a lie, as one can hear a variety of sounds. (Mr. Kuniyoshi Uno) For Mahler's Adagietto, discs from Japan, Italy, Germany, France, and England were gathered. The sound was clearer on the French disc, but it was the British Columbia disc that was superior in terms of atmosphere. Fortunately, there was no scratch noise peculiar to the British disc, so I used this disc. Prometheus" was not released by Telefunken, but by Capitol in the US. It may be that they did not release it due to a bad master recording. It is a valuable recording. (Mr. Ryo Aihara) [Comment provided by King International Co.
