In 2002, a miraculous revival took place. Elton Dean, Hugh Hopper, John Marshall, and Alan Holdsworth, the four members of Soft Machine, got together to record a new album, "Abracadabra," which was produced as a substantial reunion in 2003, Abracadabra" was a wonderful work that contained the essence of Soft Machine's history scattered throughout. The album is now available in UHQCD format and includes the complete live performance in Tokyo on August 10 during the band's tour of Japan that same year! The Osaka show on August 11, the last day of the August tour in Japan, had to be put on hold due to the perfectionist Alan Holdsworth's refusal to give his permission, but it was later released as "Live In Japan 2003" in 2020. This film was released in August 2003, the day before the release of "Live In Japan 2003. This album includes the performance at Ebisu, Tokyo on August 10, the day before the show. It was previously available on Bandcamp, and is now being released as a high-quality UHQCD. A more exciting improv-driven performance than the final show in Osaka, this show documents one of the finest moments of Soft Works' 2003 tour.
