The veteran German actor Ingrid Karpfen, known for her appearances in films directed by Daniel Schmidt, has released a new musical work on Tricatel, the label headed by Bertrand Burgala, who has been embodying the "present" of French music since the 1990s. Ingrid Kafen, a German actor and singer who has established her own unique position as a favorite of film directors such as Daniel Schmidt and Rainer Werner Fassbinder, consistently released albums from the late 70s to the 90s. This is the first time since the beginning of this century that Ingrid Karpfen has released a new album on Tricatel, a label run by Bertrand Burgala, who has long embodied the "now" of French music since the 1990s in his Shibuya-kei or cherry-red position in Paris. This new album was created with the support of Alberto Serra, the Spanish film director known for "The Death of Louis XIV. M(2), (5), and (10) are lyrics by French writer Jean-Jacques Sur, M(1) is an adaptation of a poem by Heine, M(6) is an adaptation of a poem by Goethe, and M(15) is a reference to the 19th century Italian composer M(15) pays homage to the 19th century Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.Karpfen's voice with a decadent sheen, the dreary yet cinematic electro sound, and the unknowable awesomeness of a career spanning nearly 60 years all combine to create a totally original and impactful sonic magnetic field. Karpfen's unique aesthetic sense, which is unclouded and brilliant, is admirable!
