The legendary Detroit electro duo Drexia's project work by different members is reissued on the prestigious Tresor label with new artwork. A masterpiece that foresaw the future of electronica by highlighting abstract melodies and disturbing electronic embellishments. Translusion is the solo project of James Stinson of Drexia, who passed away in 2002. This is his first album under this name, which was released on Tresor's sub-label "Supremat" just before his sudden death. While following the style and tone of Detroit techno, it is thoroughly abstract and explores the farthest reaches of the floor. It is an unorthodox work in Drexia's career, but the experimental mood, which could be understood in the subsequent electronica scene, is fresh and shocking even now. At the time, Drexia released seven albums in one year, including solo and under different names, and the so-called "Drexia Storm" broke out. The career of Drexia as a unit came to an abrupt end when James died of illness shortly afterwards, but since the mid-2000s, compilations, reissues, and discoveries have established a mood of reevaluation, and the band continues to create many fans and followers.Following Drexia's first "Neptune's Lair" and second "Harnessed The Storm", this is the latest in a series of reissues by Trsor of Germany in memory of James 20 years after his death.
