Bronski Beat. Their debut album "The Age Of Consent" (originally released in 1984) has been remastered and reissued. The hit singles "Smalltown Boy" and "Why?" have been revived and used in movies such as "Pride" and "BPM" in recent years, becoming timeless anthems. The single version of Donna Summer's cover of "I Feel Love" features a guest appearance by Marc Almond of Soft Cell.The other songs on the album, including a moody cover of Gershwin's classic "It Ain't Necessarily So" (also covered by Aretha Franklin) and the jazzy "Heatwave," are also very listenable. A synth-pop classic that boasts total ironclad quality and should be looked back on now more than ever!
